If pattern category in performance #2 is changed to anything other than “Elect” no sound is heard..
Seems like some parameters need to be changed and I have not been able to figure it out.
Any suggestion would be appreciated.

See the Owner's Manual page 21-22 on selecting and using the Rhythm Patterns - it will show you exactly how to assign a new Kit and new Pattern.
