The Radd Rig:

Windows 7 Home Premium(64bit)
Intel(R) Core(TM) i5 CPU 760 @ 2.8GHz 2.8GHz
Motif XS6 - with mLAN
IEEE1394 Firmware updater V1.07
Cubase 8.5.20 (64 bit) (running beautifully)
Yamaha Steinberg FW Driver V1.6
Motif XS Editor VST V1.6
Motif XS Extension

I've recently added the wonderful "remote" mode to my workflow, and love it.

The Cubase template from which I initiate all projects includes a lengthy, but very logical "pyramid scheme" of group channels that ascend to other groups channels, all culminating, of course with the "stereo" channel and out.

In remote mode, the 8 faders have defaulted to my group channels, in just the right order, and this is extremely helpful.

I was wondering if there is a way to make volume adjustments with these faders, and tough/adjust each fader, without Cubase automatically selecting that channel when I make the adjustment. Can I set it to make the adjustment, but have it only tweak the volume without selecting the track? Do I have this option?

Thanks! 🙂

I am not familiar with the template to which you are referring, but there should be a way to access every virtual fader you have set up in the DAW... You need to use the [F4] "" buttons to page over to the additional faders... It simply shows them in banks of eight at a time.

Let us know.

Oops - - I should have stated - - the template I use is entirely of my own creation, and it works completely. My Bad . . Mister. . .(sorry LOL)

I have several 10 channels set up, and the signal flows through them, cascading upward ultimately to the stereo l/r out. Accessing is not a problem at all.

When I make an adjustment of the volume of a group channel track, with a fader on the Motif, this causes that group channel track to automatically be "sellected/highlighted". I'm talking only about fader adjustments to the group channel tracks I've set up, and I typically only adjust the volume of the group channel track.

Is there are way to a. adjust the volume of a group channel track and, b. not have that track automatically be "selected/highlighted? Thanks - -Pete Radd

What's a "group channel track"?
Perhaps you can talk to the person who made the template 🙂
