I bought a CS a couple weeks ago from Amazon and have been using it intermittently. I left it turned off, unplugged, and with no batteries; on my table for maybe a week. Yesterday I was going to play around with it and it would not turn on. I tried batteries and the keyboard would turn on, but is sluggish. Whenever I plug the power in the CS turns off. I tried a factory reset, firmware update with batteries in, and inspected the AC jack and cable. Everything looks normal, it's in mint condition. I can't find any information on the issue I am having and am unsure if there is a fix or if I should just return the keyboard because it is seemingly defective. This has never happened to me before and I am kind of disappointed...

Jeffrey,
We need a bit more information. Any information. Did you contact Amazon?
Was it new? Used? What power adapter?

I have the same issue.

I bought mine about a year ago and it was a great synth for a couple months. Then all of a sudden it started having issues with the power. Both batteries and on the power adapter. It will randomly, now about every minute, just turn off. Then it refuses to turn back on, so I have to press the power button on/off about 20 times until it turns back on and hope it powers on properly...even then it will just die again in another minute. Factory reset used to help for a short amount of time, now it does nothing.

When this thing works it sounds great, but it never works. It's frustrating and I have a giant $300 brick sitting next to my desk.

Please take it to an authorized service center and have it fixed. Sounds like something is loose inside... intermittent contact can cause intermittent problems. There are literally thousands of reface working normally in the field. Get it fixed, join the rest of users.

If you need help in finding a repair location, let us know.
