Hi YamahaSynth Community,
As a keyboard player and a software developer, I absolutely love the sound and hands-on control of the CK61 and CK88. They are fantastic stage instruments. However, I found that when I needed to visualize deep parameters, splits, and layers quickly, I wanted a larger screen interface to complement the hardware.
To solve this, I’ve built a dedicated, web-based Live Editor for the Yamaha CK61 and CK88.
You can try it out here right now: <a href=" removed link " target="_blank" rel="noopener"> removed link
What it does:
- No Installation Required: Because it uses Web MIDI, you just plug your CK into your computer, open a Chrome/Edge browser, and you’re good to go.
- Visual Editing: Easily see and manage your Voice selections, splits, layers, and effects in real-time on a modern interface.
- Real-Time Sync: Tweaks made on the app reflect instantly on the board, making studio sessions and gig prep much faster.
Request for Support
First, I would love for the CK players in this community to test it out and give me your honest feedback. Let me know what features you’d love to see added or if you run into any bugs.
Second, I am actively looking for support to help maintain and scale this project. Server costs and ongoing development take time and resources. If any of the Yamaha officials or product managers monitoring these forums are interested in this tool, I would love to connect. My goal is to explore official support, promotion, or financial backing to keep this tool free, alive, and expanding for the Yamaha community (and potentially bring it to other Yamaha models).
Please feel free to drop your thoughts in the thread below, or reach out to me directly if you’d like to collaborate.
Thanks for your time, and happy playing!
Best,
JB Shadap
Software Developer
