Hi… I’m connecting MODX M7 with my iphone or Galaxy Tablet S9 using USB PORT. In both devices I’m getting a freezing when playing something.
Is there a limit related with?.
I’ve YC61 too, and it is working fine when using it.
Try changing the settings on the modx. USB driver mode set as legacy. And use the generic mode not vendor mode.

What is your 'Legacy Mode' setting?
What is your 'USB Driver Mode' setting?
What type and length of USB cable are you using? USB 2? USB 3?
Are you using a USB Hub?
I’m getting a freezing when playing something.
While playing something 'WHERE'? Are you playing notes/keys on the Modx M? Are you playing something on the tablet and wanting to hear it on the M?
Are you playing an audio or midi file on the M?
There's no Steinberg drivers for iOS phones or Samsung (Android) tablets.

I’m using the OTG cable, connecting my iPhone or my Galaxy Tablet to my MODX M7.
I’m using the USB TO HOST port.
If I connect my devices and, for example, play a song on Spotify, or set up the metronome for my practice, everything works fine as long as I don’t press any keys on my keyboard. But if I press even a single key on the keyboard, the sound from the device cuts out or freezes. When I stop playing, it comes back.
I’ve already checked the UTILITY / AUDIO I/O sections, but I didn’t find anything that could explain this.
It’s like there’s some latency between the device and the keyboard.
I also have a YC61, and on that everything works perfectly.

Thanks for checking the settings but WE need to know what they are in order to try to help you.
That is why we ask the previous questions:
What is your 'Legacy Mode' setting? ON or OFF? Setting it ON ensures that only MIDI 1.0 is being used
What is your 'USB Driver Mode' setting? Vendor or Generic? It needs to be set to Generic for your configuration
Are you using a USB Hub? YES or NO? Using an unpowered hub can cause connected OTG devices to drop
What is your 'Local Control' Setting? ON or OFF?

Thanks for the info but that device has its own configuration settings. The problem is likely in the configuration settings of the Modx M but you haven't told use yet what those are set to.
Let me know when you check/change the suggested MODX M settings and if that worked or not.

USE Driver Mode = I didn't find it in MODX M7
USB HUB, no.. I'm using connect direct on cable USB TO HOST.

I tried set Legacy Mode = On, but unfortunatelly, when I set ON, the device was no longer recognized by the keyboard, so I returnt do Legacy Mode = OFF.

I replaced my USB cable, but that wasn't what actually fixed it. Even though it was working with iOS, it was still having issues on the Galaxy S9.
I decided to adjust the Audio I/O mode to 44.1-96 (1 Stereo), and everything worked.

There is a LOT of significance to that and it isn't well documented and often not understood.

Audio I/O Mode
Switches the output mode for the audio signal output from the USB [TO HOST] terminal.
The instrument must be rebooted for this setting to be effective.Settings: 5 Stereo/44.1kHz, 1 Stereo/44.1–96kHz
5 Stereo/44.1kHz: Up to 10 channels (5 stereo channels) at a sampling frequency of 44.1 kHz
1 Stereo/44.1-96kHz: Up to 2 channels (1 stereo channel) at a sampling frequency of 44.1 kHz to 96 kHz
The 'often not understood' part is that when the MIDI IN/OUT is set to usb then usb becomes a communication channel for BOTH midi and audio automatically. There is no way to disable the audio even if you want to. Even when the part output is Main L/R the output will still go out over usb.
As you discovered the default Audio I/O Mode setting on the Modx M is the 1st one listed above '5 Stereo/44.1kHz'. As the doc says that includes 'Up to 10 channels (5 stereo channels)'.
The 'Up to' is very misleading. All 10 channels get initialized and used. But many of the channels may be filled with zeroes and are empty/devoid of any actual audio content.
When your phone/laptop connects the Modx M announces it has a midi interface and a 10 channel audio interface so your devices configure themselves accordingly.
The problem you ran into is that your phone/laptop may not have the horsepower to process all 10 channels. The fact that most of the channels have no actual audio data is irrelevant since that won't be know until the packets are decoded.
The extra processing power, and time, it takes to do that is most likely causing buffer underruns and delays like you experienced.
By switching to '1 Stereo/44.1-96kHz: Up to 2 channels' and rebooting the instrument now presents itself as a midi interface and a TWO channel audio interface. Now your remote devices need much fewer resources (buffers, etc) and can handle it.
TIP: Keep that setting in mind because it is saved when you power OFF/ON. So once you switch you will only have 2 usb channels even if you used more capable external devices. You need to manually change the setting based on your needs.
