Hello, I purchased an MODX M7 from Guitar Center, this model was taken out of the box by guitar center and was slatted to be used as a floor model. I purchased this unit new before it was used a demo but I didn't get the box. I am trying to download the softsynth but it says I need a information sheet that came with the unit. I contacted Yamaha support and was referred to this forum. How can I get access to the software? I can send serial number and guitar center receipt if needed.
Btw this is my first Yamaha and I'm blown away so far. It sounds incredible and while I don't everything figured out, doing the basics is very intuitive. Keybed is great too!

If you contact Yamaha US Customer Support and provide them with proof of purchase from an authorized Yamaha dealer along with your serial number they can issue a replacement code to you.

Aurelien, For MODX M series use with any DAW / ESP software, you will need to contact Blake over at yamahasynth.com. Yamahasynth is our site, and Blake is one of our senior product specialists. The reason we send you over there, is because that's the site where all of our ESP services are handled. If you have a specific question, we can cover that, but the DAW / ESP services are handled over at yamahasynth.com. So: 1.Head over to Blake and yamahasynth.com. 2. Go to the MODX M forum. 3. Post your question, Blake will answer. The website is Blake's platform. That site is the source for ESP services. Hello,
The customer support team is responsible for granting codes to people who inadvertently misplaced their download access code or bought a new product and found that the code was not in the box.
This forum is for asking product questions and having dialog with other Yamaha synthesizer users. I'll let them know you'll be contacting them for the code. Thanks!

From the sidelines:
In the past I've had various issues with license codes and software support folks have always done a great job in straightening things out. It may require some patience because there's sometimes a few doors to knock on before you get the right audience - but once that clicks into place I've found them to be easy to work with.
