Hi,
I’m having an issue with Scenes and Arp Select on my MODX M
In factory performances, everything works perfectly when I change and store Scenes; different arp patterns are recalled as expected. But when I create my own performance, it doesn’t work the same way.
I assign different arps and store them in different scenes, but when I switch scenes, the rhythm stays the same across all scenes.
I’ve tried everything I can think of, but I feel like I’m missing something important.
If anyone can help me understand what I’m doing wrong, I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

The most common cause of 'scene' issues is forgetting to turn ON the memory switch for the params you want the scene to remember.
Look at the graphic on p.18 of the operation doc
https://usa.yamaha.com/files/download/other_assets/0/2584700/MODX-M_operation_manual_En_C0.pdf
Notice that the 'Arp' and 'Motion Seq' switches are ON (blue). That means that the 'Motion Seq Select' and 'Arp Select' values shown will be remembered for that scene (scene 1 on the screen).
If the 'Arp' memory switch is OFF for a scene then selecting that scene won't change the arp.
Many of the presets have various memory switches set to ON so if you change arps or values they will get remembered.
But if you start with an Init performance all memory switches will be OFF so nothing will ever get saved in any scenes until you turn one, or more, of the switches ON.
