Will there be another OS update in 2026?

Yamaha doesn't pre-announce OS releases and they are the only ones that would know.
They released the Modx M model late last year with an older OS and then, in Jan 2026 released an OS 3.0 to bring it in line with the Montage M OS version. So they likely plan to keep the OS versions in sync in the future - but they may still stagger the release dates.
Often they make OS releases around trade shows: NAMM which is held in California in January and Superbooth held in Germany in May.

Yamaha hasn't been in the habit of pre-announcing releases although it doesn't hurt to ask or speculate.
