[#63588]

Hi, does anyone evertried midi connection between Retrokits RK008 and Yamaha Seqtrak ?
I tried without success... strangely it seems Yamaha Seqtrak greyed out the option choice CLOCK SYNC INETRNAL/EXTERNAL on its configuring app when connected to RK008.
So each time i try to record some sequence on the RK008, the seqtrak simply start playing its default demo song...
Many thanks in advance for any useful tip

Welcome to the forums!

You might want to edit your profile to remove your email address from your display name.

I tried without success...

Try to understand that doesn't give us any info about WHAT you tried or HOW you tried it.

You can't use USB. You need to use the 3.5mm to DIN midi adapter of the RK008 and plug a standard male-to-male MIDI cable into it.

The use Seqtrak breakout cable that plugs into the seqtrak and provides a midi din connection and plug the free end of the MIDI cable into the midi port.

Thanks for the reply Pete...
What i want to do is to record a sequence from the SEQTRAK in to RK008 and then play it back trhough Seqtrak...
I did all the possible settings combination without success...
PLAY/REC/STOP is in sync (with RK008 as master) and whatever played on SEQTRAK is recorded on RK008 (i see it from the lens moving)
Unfortunately when i play back PLAY on RK088, SEQTRAK keeps on playing its internal sequence (which is actually empty now since i have a brand new empty project)
At this point i really think that SEQTRAK has Note On/off midi message reception globally disabled in its firmware for external devices...

PS
how am i supposed to disable email showing ? I can't find such an option in my account page, tnx

Solved: Changing StartStop from TX to NONE in RK008 did the trick.
