Is there a way to insert two Voices in a Song and the latter Voice starts playing when the first one stops?
I'd prefer not to take advantage of velocity crossfade btween Voices or aftertouch, because my hands aren't mechanically perfect and can't play at exact velocities.
The respective Voice volumes must be independent.
I thought also, instead of Song mode, I might have programmed a single Voice where Elements 5-8 are activated by AS1 or AS2.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

Question is not clear. Voices do not start playing, you have to play the keys or the notes of the sequencer have to "start playing" the Voice - simply substituting one VOICE for another is not enough for a VOICE to start playing. Perhaps you want do describe a bit more what you are talking about. Please.

There are VOICES where this very thing happens. The VOICE located at PRESET 1: 014(A14) Piano & Strings. You control the volume of the Strings with the AS1 Knob and you control the volume of the Piano with the AS2 Knob... just as an example.

The first four Elements of this Voice are Piano and Elements 5-8 are the Strings. You can study this VOICE to discover how Element Level (E-level) is assigned within the VOICE's CONTROL SET
Press [EDIT]
Press [COMMON EDIT]
Press [F4] CONTROL SET

Sorry for not having been more explicative 🙁

Say, I'm playing a Voice and wanted to abruptly cut off it and substitute with another Voice.
At first, my little knowledge of Motif XF synth engine, would tell me using AS switches. I mean a faster control/activation is needed in place of a "simple" FC7.
thanks

AS1 and AS2 are the Assignable Knobs
Perhaps when you mention "switches" you mean the AF1 and AF2 buttons - the Assignable Function buttons.

These can be used to transition smoothly between Elements within a Voice or entire Voices that have been prepared to work with each other in a Performance or in a Mixing setup. I cover this in depth in the following tutorial article which includes downloadable examples:

Thanks Bad Mister

You correctly pointed out that those buttons/switches are named AF1 and AF2 (and I made a little confusion naming them AS1 and AS2, due to the fact they're assignable!)

At this point I must read thoroughly again Seamless Transition to extract the hints I need,
