Hello

I really enjoy my YC88 as a player, & I also write & record in my little home studio. I really want the updates to include 4 things:
1) Steel Pedal guitar
2) Bluegrass fiddle - where I can really get at the bowing sounds fiddlers make
3) Simple drumkit
4) Bosendorfer Grand Piano

I don't want much -- (ha! ha!) -- it's a great little keyboard.

Thanks.
Dizzyd

Interesting that Yamaha deleted my reply and I'm a life long Yamaha customer. We are being cancelled and censored if they don't like what we write about their products.

I might have written 2 letters "B" and "S" which isn't a curse word or they could have substituted the word crap. Instead they deleted a lengthy reply. It's silly as we aren't kids here. Those letters are what we use to point out that someone is grossly embellishing their claim or argument. It's not a dirty word or should I say dirty letters.

I don't like Yamaha anymore. It took me a long time to write that reply too. Move on to bigger and better options.

Where? When? It's now 2022. We should be flying around on real hover boards. We do shoot people into space for entertainment now.

Cars still run on gas however. Funny that programmers can't rapidly accomplish an OS update and fixes without it taking years.

The older I get and slower things advance. I had to buy a $3000 computer to run a train simulator at the highest settings. It's just scenery not even virtual reality.

I think we've really stopped moving forward rapidly. It's about controlling advancement and making money.

I doubt much will change in the next 30 years before I'm gone. No advancements are really very impressive anymore.

It's all just a very small tiny step up with a long time in between. Don't wait for tomorrow, you'll be disappointed.

This is already posted as a main YC topic but good to know something is coming.

Just because they advertise it's "exciting" and "great" doesn't make it exciting and great until we witness the offerings.

I do like my YC73 so I do hope it will be exciting and great. I hope it exceeds our expectations.

My studio rig is pretty well rounded: Yamaha CP1 (nothing comes close to authenticity) , YC73 w/stainless custom knobs, Hammond SKpro (A beast of its own crossover with deep editing & MONOSYNTH!), Roland Fantom w/organ & n/zyme infused, ASM Hyrdasynth Deluxe (brilliant fun), (2) Deepmind rack units oh and Korg Op6.

I think the Famton is capable of 9 synth engines and all 16 parts active. I'm not sure it has any limitations within reason. They keep expanding it, it's totally insane.

The infusion of a monosynth layered with quality organs on the SKpro was brilliant. It really adds a touch of customization to organs that is fantastically cool.

Let's see what Yamaha can come up with to gain a little ground.

YC73 w/stainless custom knobs,

Wow that's cool, do you have a picture of your YC with stainless steel knobs to show us? Where did you buy the knobs? Thanks.

Babies ain't cheap and there are a bunch of them. I see why they don't come as stock vs the $1 rubber ones. Over $10 each and 14 of them.

However It adds a bling, style and class like none other. Plus the rotary lighting reflects off of them so it's bada** looking in the dark.

Weird that an announcement for the Tech Talk session about the YC tomorrow hasn't been posted here on the forum...

Some of us posted about it here but nothing formal coming from Yamaha.

I assume it will be released today, tonight or tomorrow at some point and hopeful it's not some sneak preview or beta version and we'll have to wait even longer.
