I want to re-use songs 1-3 (factory-provided songs when I bought my MOXF8), but some settings still apply when I clear the song. Is there a way to return those songs to normal settings?

What do you consider "normal settings"?
And how are you clearing the songs?
Here's how to clear SONG:
While in SONG mode
Press [JOB]
Press [F6] SONG
Select the JOB 03: Clear Song
Set the SONG number or use the DATA DIAL to select ALL
Press [ENTER]
This clears a SONG... The normal settings for a CLEAR SONG include Tempo 120, Time Signature 4/4, All Tracks Empty, and linked to a MIXING setup with the Full Concert Grand assigned to all 16 PARTS, Volume 100, Pan Center, Rev Send 12, Cho Send 0, SYSTEM EFFECTS = G Chorus, and Rev-X Hall.
