Hi. Can anybody tell me how to copy e.g. Barcelona guitar- from VOICE mode with all settings (in particular the arp defaulted with this sound) to record in pattern or song mode. I have had one response however, I still can't seem to do this.

When in PATTERN mode I can play the guitar but without the arp. I understand that the arp is not part of the sound, but I do not know how to copy all parameters. The last guy instructed me to go into MIXING>EDIT but was vague in what mode I should enter MIXING>EDIT from. i.e. PATTER/SONG MODE>MIXING>EDIT or VOICE MODE>MIXING>EDIT?????

Help would be appreciated.

This is handled by a setting called “Parameter with Voice” and refers to copying certain associated and offset settings that are applied to a Voice while in VOICE Mode to the Part of another mode. When you move a Voice into a Part (Song/Pattern Mixing) or into a Part (Performance) you can have this parameter determine if this “extra” data is included.

When “Parameter with Voice” set to ON before selecting the Voice:
The parameter settings of the selected Voice are copied from the Voice to the current Part. While Arp phrases are ‘associated’ with the guitar Voice Barcelona, they are not, technically speaking, apart of the instrument... any more than any guitar lick is not apart of an acoustic guitar. These “associated parameters” do not automatically follow the Barcelona Voice to other modes... they are part of the set of offsetassociated parameters, that are like “extra” stuff, attached to the original programming... “quick edits”, tweaks, that local to that Voice.

By turning this function ON, first, then selecting the Voice, the Arps will automatically associate themselves to the Part.
If you have already selected the Voice for the Part, Set “Parameter with Voice” On, then move the cursor up to the Number, move away and back. Done.
The tempo is not an associated parameter, the Arps will play at the tempo of the Song or Pattern you are working with.

Please see this short article detailing what are consider ‘offsets’ and ‘associated’ parameters: Parameter with Voice
