Hi,

I have a stage synth on my upper rack, and the CP40 on my bottom rack. I want to use the CP40 as a midi controller. How do I play a keyboard split that I have saved on my upper synth? I have fooled aroun in master keyboard mode, but can only get once voice to sound on the CP40. Not the full left/right split.

Pedro.

We would need to know what MIDI Channels are used in the synth you are trying to control
Then simply set your CP40’s Master Keyboard Function so you have a Zone for each MIDI channel.

If both sounds are on the same MIDI channel in the receiving device then only the local keys of that keyboard will respect the split points you’ve created on that instrument. For a “Split” to work via MIDI the receiving device must have sounds on two different channels... this way you can set Zone 1 to transmit on channel 1 from C-2 to B2, and Set Zone 2 to transmit on channel 2 from C3 to G8.
