I thought this may be the area to post this question.

I have many vintage synthesizers/drum machines, most of which are Yamaha but some that are not.

All are from the 80's and digital.

Anyone know of a good program that I can hook these synths up to a computer and save off voice/sequencer data?

Regarding Yamaha products, I have an original DX7, TX81Z and RX-5.

But I have other synths as well and would like to save off their data before it all goes poof.

Any help would be appreciated.

I should mention that the program I am looking for where you can save off data/sequences from many different synthesizers and drum machines that I would need for this to run on Windows 7.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

What you need is a tool to send, receive, load, and save System Exclusive data.
Try one of these:

For Windows:
Bome Send SX
MIDI-OX

For Apple OSX
SysEx Librarian

For Linux
amidi

For Apple iOS:
Midi Tool Box

For Android:
Midi Commander
MIDI SysEx Librarian (Syx-Lib)
