I want to know if there is a way to loop a drum track in song mode so that I dont have to play the entire drum track for the whole song.

Yes there is. Please look in the Reference Manual on p.142-143. There you can see how to set looping individually for each of the 16 song tracks.
Song --> [F3] Track --> [SF2] Loop
