Hello,

I just bought my MOXF8 July 16 2015, and I noticed that when I play sometimes it randomly produces an extra note sound that usually noticeably louder than the rest.
like I said its intermittent and random, doesn't happen all the time.
I already updated the firmware from yamaha's download page and it happened again anyways.

Does anyone else have this issue? or is this an isolated incident? I am looking to swap for a replacement soon...

Intermittent problems are the worst, because they can be difficult to track down. "Extra note sound that usually noticeably louder than the rest" does not sound right at all... Please, since you just purchased the MOXF8, have your dealer check it out or replace it for you. (They want you to be satisfied and, of course, so do we).

Just as a possible cause, there is a something called KEY-OFF in the MOXF8 and this can cause a sound when you release a key (this can be particularly noticeable if that Element is turned up beyond the usual subtle level for KEY-OFF noise... but since you say it is intermittent, it does not sound like this is your issue.

Let us know what happens, and sorry you having any issue with your MOXF8.

I have had my moxf8 for two years and I just recently started having a similar problem. While playing in Voice, (out of the blue) a note will sound louder than the rest and my rig will stop producing sounds of any kind. The keyboard remains on but no sound. I start changing settings, pulling chords, turn off and restart keyboard. Somewhere in all this trial and error the keyboard will start to work normally again but I have not narrowed down which action, if any, made it work normally. I also have not been able to make the problem occur on purpose, it seems to be completely random.
