Hello Joel - an impressive (and comprehensive) video, as usual! Just finding the Spiraliser is a challenge until you realise it's hiding in the 'Tech' section! It's a technical masterpiece, but of very little use to me as a playable soundsman - but I can hear it in a Disco! Very quick off the mark, young Joel!

What's the new menu item "USB Monitor" in the video? This seems potentially interesting and not mentioned in previous communications.

It's a new menu option in the "Edit - Common/Audio" section under the far-left "Effect" menu tile.

Hello Phil, you're too fast for me 😉
Jason check page 36 of the Montage OS history pdf file, like Phil write, it's an 1.20 OS add.

Rod thank you 😉

Right - my mistake. Didn't check the new features history. I got tripped up because manual updates are only "nf" and not updated in the reference manuals -- but it'll teach me to be more thorough next time.

"USB Monitor" initially flagged something way off the mark in my mind.

From the USB Monitor display, you can adjust the Audio Input level from the [USB TO HOST] terminal.
NOTE USB Main Monitor Volume and USB Assign Monitor Volume are stored as Performance Data.

@Rod:
If you look at:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m5UD0770K4k&feature=youtu.be

The effect is applied to a standard preset performance. The result reminds me of the 2nd part of "24k Magic" (Bruno Mars) where there's a pitch ramp. This sort of thing can be accomplished with PEG - but the effect method gives you more options on where to insert this kind of thing and knobs (effect parameters) have more options.

Even though "24k Magic" may not be your thing either - just pointing out at least one recent tune that employs a similar effect.

Hello Jason - yes, I see the Pfs are effected rather than new combos, but way too exotic for my simple tastes! know what you mean about 'USB Monitor' - when I saw that (in v1.20) I thought 'Yippee!' believing it meant I could monitor what is on the USB back-up. Which would be extremely useful! But my hopes were cruelly dashed - it has never been of the slightest use to me (though hopefully it has to others).
