Too bad that bad apples, bad software, or bad something have influenced the need to verify users that have already been verified somehow in order to get an account. The CAPTCHA is fairly aggressive at times. I have to go through clicking on up to 20 tiles of graphics to verify I'm not a robot. Even with these measures, I still see what I regard as possible spam in the message bases.

It would be nice if the system recognizes regular contributors that the CAPTCHA does not have to be used so often. Somehow more "smartly" apply the CAPTCHA - if your domain changes. Maybe if the user-agent changes. For users with less verified posts - maybe be aggressive. Seems like some of this CAPTCHA stuff on the front-end to verify a user to try to end up with "good accounts" would be beneficial.

There are lots of things that exist out of necessity. Screenings at airports, etc. I wish the world was a better place - but I guess I can live with measures to keep the world on track if there's no better way. In parallel - while striving to discover the better way.
