Hi everyone!
I'm stuck. My eyes wil pop up...
I have some X3A files created by myself via John Melas Waveform editor. Samples inside it are merged from some other files and they are ok.
I was watching some youtube tutorials and red a lot of tutorials but i think i'm stupid because i have no other explanation for my poor performance. 😀
Ok. After pressing FILE, Type: Waveform, and enetering into a file .X3A, i can see a lot of sampled sounds. After highlighting one of them i pres EXEC and everything is by the book (now loading, please wait blah blah and at the end says completed. Everything seems just fine but i can't fint that sound anywhere in my keyboard. I know that i'm doing something wrong because i remember that i managed to do this right last year when i tryed this for the first time. This is my first workstation after a lot of PSR's and i know nothing about this for now.
Is there anyone who is willing to guide me step by step because i don't know where theese samples/voices are going after loading and how to use them after that or where to find them...
Thanks in advance!
Sorry for my bad english! 😀

We can point out where you went wrong. You have a Motif XF ALL data file .X3A, but instead of loading the Voices, you have selected to load just the Waveforms. This is why you cannot find what you loaded...

There is an old joke, Abbot & Costello (two very funny American vaudevillians from the 1940's) where one of them is out late at night intently looking around on the ground for something, the other asks what are you doing, he says "I dropped my keys about a block ago and I'm trying to find them", if you dropped them a block ago why are you looking here? "The lights better!"

You are looking in the wrong spot for what you loaded....
Press [VOICE]
Press [JOB]
Press [F1] INIT
when you initialize a new Voice, you can select a WAVEFORM for each of the eight possible Elements.

Press [EDIT]
Press [1] to see Element 1 parameters
Press [F1] OSC/WAVE
Here you can select a Wave Bank, and Wave Number for this Element... your loaded data will appear on the FL board.

We don't know what you created in the Editor in terms of the programming you did, but if your goal was load Voices, (Load the VOICE data would load the paramaeters that create the instrument as well as the Waveforms/Samples) then loading just the Waveforms was the mistake (wrong move).

If you had set the FILE TYPE = voice
Then selected your .X3A file, it would open to reveal a list of the Voices you created... loading them would load everything they need to play.

If you had set the FILE TYPE = all
Then selected your .X3A file, it would have loaded User Banks 1, 2, 3, Drum User, with all the Waveforms/Samples to make them work. Loading as ALL allows your MOXF to import the data it can deal with... specifically the 384 User Voices and 32 User Drum Kits, the 256 User Arpeggios, and the 2048 Waveforms (8192 Keybanks); the 256 User Performances, and the 32 Mix Templates.

By selecting to load "Waveform" you did not load the User Voices, nor the User Arps, nor the User Performances, nor did you load the Mix Templates... you selected to load jus the Waveforms.... which Is what you would do if you are going to build NEW Voices "from scratch" in the MOXF hardware.

Hope that helps.

Abbot & Costello are piece of cake for me... 😮
As always, you were right. Stupid mistake and a lot of time spent circling around like an idiot.
Thanks man! Respect! 😉
