Hi, is the Reface CS capable of decent Electric Piano sounds? Anyone aware of any videos demonstrating this?

The CS is a virtual analog synth. "Decent" is the operative word... the reface CP does a "stellar" job at doing electric pianos including the 128 note polyphony to play it with a Sustain pedal.

The reface CS is 8 Note poly, and does not support a Sustain pedal. Just FYI. It's designed to recreate analog synth sounds, that is its wheelhouse!

If you are asking can it do an electric piano, well, sure. How much you will like it is really personal taste... visit Soundmondo now approaching 10,000 free reface downloads!

Was wondering if the FM oscillator would enable passable e piano a la Reface DX/DX7/etc. If so, the CS could really cover a lot of ground for me.

P.S. Couldnt audition sounds on Soundmondo - seem like you can only download patches to a Reface device.

It depends on the poster. Many, unfortunately, do not take advantage of the ability to include a Soundcloud .wav attachment - you can even attach a YouTube video. While the refaceCS can cover lots of bases but obviously there are other reface units that cover it better. Can you make an organ sound on the refaceCS, well, yes, but the refaceYC lives there fulltime.
