As far as I know, it is a Yamaha font.

And is made for the corporate logo… on the music side (the oldest portion of the company, 1887) the current logo is three tuning forks completely inside a circle followed by the block letters. Of note, the center piston of the letter “m” is up and does not meet the line. You can see it on the top of this very page. On the front of a gazillion Drum Kits, on the back of the MONTAGE/MODX and hundreds of keyboards and instruments…

Yamaha Motors, a much younger company (circa the mid-1950’s), has a slightly different logo, the tuning forks of the parent company are encased in the circle, but the handles of the forks punch through the circle (like wheel spokes), and the piston on the letter “m” reach down to the line.

The color and spacing of the letters are different. Now you can always tell them apart… careful if you’re thinking about using it somewhere!

If you google

web site to identify a font

you'll get a bunch of hits of online resources where you can provide an image of a font, and it will tell you what it might be, or at least something that's close to it.

I think there could be quite a few fonts like the one used for the Yamaha logo. This is a font that I find the most similar, what about everyone's opinion?
It's: https://fontspace.io/jeep-font/

Closest is Trade Gothic Heavy Compressed (prob. the one that's actually used for the Yamaha Motor logo).
Funny enough, Trade Gothic is also the corporate font for KTM Motorcycles, a close competitor of Yamaha Motor (I own a KTM motorbike).

I love using Yamaha products. Especially the company's logo, it is very simple but no less formal. If possible, why doesn't the Yamaha logo design with another font to refresh them, like this font for example: https://dafont101.com/beauty-and-the-beast-font/

Good luck! :p :p :p :p :p 🙂 😀 😀 😀

The logo is just classic and the logo font is just familiar looking to see on Survey things what do you say? but in my views
Helvetica
Calibri
Futura
Garamond
Times New Roman
Arial
are still best for Design.
