Where is all the Yamaha Montage synthesizer music production inventiveness creativity ???
It is very striking to notice and see that almost on all Yamaha Motif and Yamaha Montage forums - groups - platforums - So also on this amazing and great Yamaha
Synth forum, where we can ask any questions. and can discuss about everything that has to do with worlds best and most power full multi functional music production synthesizer. we are counting more then 1400 Montage synth players [ professionals - live players - amateurs & hobby ] Montage synthesizer owners / players who even also use professional Computer DAW music production software systems.!!. we can also find and read / discuss on many on this forum user tips & advices about everything that has to do with how to use and how to can make music on the Montage also with ore without connecting the Montage on a Pc Daw system.!!.
there are thousends of instruments sounds - arpeggio's - and multi track sequence performance standard factory presets settings and unlimited edit - mix - combine functions and options. that no other music production synthesizer have on board and that is why we all invest a lot of money to have this amazing board under ore finger tips, ofcourse with only one reason / purpose. [ MAKING MUSIC ] really similar when buy a car so we can /go drive in the car. !! [lol].. so the best way to transfer experiences and share the knowledge with other Yamaha Montage synthesizer users is not only to read about the instrument experiences and knowledge but most interesting.the main and most important starting point [ MAKING MUSIC ] Ok I can imagine a few reasons why people do not like to share or and publish a complete self made synths sounds & music production creations like on social media and YouTube.,but a short audio introduction or demo audio file
maybe it's shame ??. maybe it's to mush ego .??. or worry about copy rights and all ready be a Big and famous rock star .??. ???:( πŸ˜‰ πŸ™ πŸ˜‰ πŸ™ πŸ˜‰ πŸ™ πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ ...
and sure you really do not have to be a pro musician to can make with a simple 3 finger chord and a one finger melody / solo part to can make a wat ever styles / genres music on a Yamaha Montage.. So let lets be more open minded and and share more knowledge and experiences on a subject topic that is all about Making Music !!!! . Im no pro musician- songwriter or keys player -worst i can not even rea any single music notes & chords but i do have a lot inspiraition / motivaton an most importent lots of fun on making easy multi track recording music even without need and hook up my Yamaha Montage on a Pc-Daw system.
A full self composed Instrumental multi track recording music theme ; using woody dark grand piano piano / mystic strings pads / echo leads / smooth drums & bass line / fade in-out / windy electric guitar & leads solo parts / sfx sounds full made and recorded on my Yamaha Montage.music style - smooth soft pop - easy listening song name [ The Ending ] grts from a Yamaha Montage music maker >>. >> http://jmp.sh/v/LE0kVCrpYZsIkL8H9kLg

Hello Ron - I'm no musician (I struggle with manuscript, like you!) but I liked that! Is it composed on the fly, or do you write it down first? Could you play it again, or was it a one-off? My interest is in the sound, not the music, although music does suggest - even demand - certain kinds of sound.

Like Ron I also love to make music specially when its jam night (mostly saturday and sunday) but I'm also the kind
of amateur musician that want something new and fresh creating my own sounds and a tune round it.
The montage is one of the synth in my arsenal to help me out.

I'm learning about the Montage to get what I want which is new evolving sounds to go with the tunes I've make.
And apply that to all the genres of music to let it speak instrumentally with sounds "kinda like" story telling.

Hi Rod yes i composed this complete song by my self on the montage and yes i could play it again if i like ,i buitl it up with the 4 chords with the Dark woody piano track first and then the drums bass the other instruments lead solo's and electric guitar solo etc etc and i also made a story board footage music clip on this song project to give the complete recording song project a extra dimension while it is a sort of sad kind of music style , as i also did on all the other music recording on Yamaha Montage see / hear this song and more in the index link >> >> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RXooiKREb2I&list=PL2SwSLjBVGA58M6TtEPYZWux2kvQYs-4y&index=3

Reply Ron ; Hi Imro. well i must say. I'm a lucky old Grand Pa from Belgium who haves lots of time to spend every day many hours in my hobby home recording studio and fool around with my Yamaha Motif & montage music production synths. so that is why i do know almost all about the Yamaha Motif series. and still after many years i discover utility's-functions and options on the Yamaha motif you can really dive deep in all the user options. and it will become the same way on exploring and discovering the new Yamaha Montage that yet even goes much further and to a next level on creating sounds - combine multiple performances-mix effects-mastering-and create /dsign your own sounds and music productions atmosphere in anty styles/genres music. and like i say before, you do not need at all.
to be a professional key player /musician/sound designer. I think the main reason that yamaha designed this new Yamaha Montage as a performance music production synthesizer concept to give the user all the possibilities / inspirations / motivation & drive to create/compose/produce/and recording with or without use a Pc-Daw system. any style/genre multi track recording music productions idea's also for a dilettante amateur non professional sounds/music maker.!!. with no commercial purpose.. That is why I find it so striking, that there is no actually as good as non sounds creations but most of all not any Yamaha Montage music productions from the more then 1400 forum members to could compare / discus / experiences and share knowledge about everything that has to do with making/creating [ MUSIC ] But strangely peculiar weird, that after a few days and more then 200 topic visitors and viewers very few responses and though not all
no music creations links or opinions on this topic ???. How ever in my case making music is a way to can -ESCAPE- all the bul...t in this life, >> >>

After more then 2 weeks and almost -400- views on this topic,It is so striking that there is actually no Yamaha Montage music productions to can listening compare / discus / experiences and share knowledge about everything that has to do with making/creating [ MUSIC ] surely the essentials why people buy a music production synthesizer keyboard.!!. But strangely peculiar weird, nobody seems to make MUSIC ore/and be interested on how the Yamaha monster montage can sound and produce on Music.??? . ....

it's like buying a new porsche / mercedes / but never will go drive in the car. but only talk about and not to forget only making pictures of that car. !! .....

Hi Ron, OK, I'm interested to know just what method you use for recording on montage recorder. I'm pretty sure it was designed to play and record your whole performance in real time. Listening to your recording's tells me that you are doing something a little different and I can't figure it out. Maybe you're doing a track at a time? Overdubbing, adding samples? Changing patches in the middle of your performance recording? Midi, audio? Anyway if you can give a brief breakdown I'm interested to know. Enjoy your work, thanks for posting. (Sorry for the typos, iPhone speech to text… )

Hi Louis a mostly edit /create first a multi track performance idea using some extra arpeggio's drum kits and instruments and combine some sound presets and program assign also div scenes on the performance creation and assign the performance multi motion sequence to the left hand side on the montage so that the montage plays the 3-4 finger chords so you can play a solo line with your right hand then you go recording on the Montage audio wave performance recorder. you can mix and use the knobs and faders and effects on each single track and use also the superknob in real time recording on the Montage built in performance audio wave recorder, so then you have multi track recording song/music idea . in audio wave format
[Changing patches in the middle of your performance recording] you can assign 8 arps/drumkits and again 8 instruments tracks and save store in the performance scenes to make a break point or fade in-out solo , you can set of/on mute a couple or single performance tracks also in real time recording on a multi track motion sequence performance. so then we have complete audio wave song music file without use a Pc Daw system So i do not record in the Midi option while then you do need to work with Pc Daw system that a bit the story Louis.. πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜‰ so dont forget first to set up and mix all single instruments tracks and use the multi track audio mix & effects options on the final created mult motion performance creation idea before you go recording πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ and also Sorry for the bad in english typos Í'm just an old Grand Pa from Belgium !! Grts Ron

Hi Ron, your english is just fine. Thanks for the breakdown. It seems you are not going by the book using the specific recording steps approach, good for you! It's the end result that matters and you seem to be doing just fine with it. I like that your method frees you up to place what ever you choose (Multiple performances within your song recording). Keep up the good work!
