Tech Talk: MODX DAW Remote

Tech Talk for July 14 focused on the Yamaha MODX. MODX OS v2.5 adds the DAW Remote from MONTAGE. This allows remote control of Cubase, Logic Pro, Ableton Live and Pro Tools. This episode focused on Cubase to show set up and usage of the DAW Remote with MODX. As a bonus, HaPe showed Ableton Live, Blake showed Logic and they both showed some cool workflow tips and tricks.

Behind the Synth: Ben Israel SynthChat

Ben is the Planning, Development and Research Manager for Content, Research and Development (CRD). Part of his work is managing content creation for Yamaha Synthesizers. He also conducts future product research and administrates the YamahaSynth IdeaScale community. Or as Ben sums up:

“I get to come up with wacky ideas for experimentation.”

Ben’s role combines sound design and musicianship with project management and serious attention to detail. This is a cool chat for anyone interested in synthesizer product development.
