Easy FM Programming Part 4: How to Make a Triple Oscillator Sound

Tobias Leo shows you how to make a nice triple oscillator sound in this installment of his Easy FM Programming series. With four pairs of stacked carrier/modulators, Algorithm 67 a great choice for synth brass and pad sounds. With some detuning, envelope changes and a bit of control assigned to the Super Knob he creates a great synth sound in about 5 minutes.

Behind the Synth: Manny Fernandez and the DX7II

Manny Fernandez stopped by the Synth Space and chatted with Nate about his work on the DX7II. The DX7II added many new features and improvements to the original DX7. Manny and Nate discuss and demo some of these features including one of Nate’s favorites: Poly Unison Detune. They also check out a few of Manny’s sound sets from the 80s. Check it out below:
