Emanuele Parravicini and Simone Capitani of Audio Modeling on Camelot

Camelot is a software for Mac OS, iOS and Windows that controls both hardware and virtual instruments for live performance. Emanuele Parravicini and Simone Capitani joined Yamaha Product Specialist Blake Angelos in an engaging interview about Camelot, the relationship both Yamaha and Audio Modeling have with Stanford University’s CCRMA (Center for Computer Research in Music an Acoustics) and physical modeling.

Synthbits: Django Django’s Tommy Grace on His Rare Yamaha D85 Organ

We found this gem over at factmag.com and had to share. Django Django‘s keyboardist Tommy Grace shows off his vintage Yamaha Electone D85. The 253 lbs D85 had two 49-note manuals, a 37 note mini synth keyboard, 16 built in rhythms with 4 variations and more. It’s amazing how cool this behemouth sounds and the design similarites to the amazing GX-1.
