Dear Blake and Yamaha Team,

Please hear me when I say there is a critical issue with the CK61 and CK88. As it stands, the intensity of the button indicator lights is far too bright and blinding, especially when playing in any environment that's not a well-lit cafeteria For many users, including myself, these lights are so searing that they make it impossible to play comfortably, and this issue has become a significant barrier to enjoying the instrument. I’ve been a loyal Yamaha customer for over 15 years owning various keyboards and guitars, and, while I’m otherwise very happy with the CK88, this issue is make or break. Many users have been complaining about this issue across multiple forums, here's just a sampling:

There are also users in the CK61/88 Facebook group complaining about the issue, along with comments left under Youtube videos.

A firmware update that would allow for dimming or reducing the intensity of the button indicator lights is necessary. Blake or Yamaha team - can you please let me know if this is even possible? I am still in the return window of mine. I am just hoping for an answer to that question.

Hello,

Thanks for the suggestion. Please post this request to the YamahaSynth IdeaScale. This is the best way to get it added in a future firmware update.
