Thank goodness for Yamaha responding to me. I feel better for giving back my CP88 loaner today as my brand new CP88 just arrived at my local music store yesterday. Now, I feel much more confidant keeping it.

Thank you for your input - yes, this is a known issue and Japan does know about it. We are working on fixing it, however, more than likely it will not happen until September, unfortunately. There is more to the update than this issue.

Good to see the "we got this" feedback. The September OS release has been previously referred to as a content pack update. Meaning there are new sounds coming along with the CP80 bug fix. No hints given on what the new sounds might be - as far as I know.
