Dear Yamaha Support Team,

I am writing to report an issue with my Yamaha CP88 stage piano. The sound output is noticeably weak in volume and sounds thin, regardless of the preset or settings used.

I have thoroughly checked all cables and connections, and they appear to be in good condition. Based on this, I believe the issue may stem from either the internal electronics or software.

I would greatly appreciate your guidance on how to proceed with troubleshooting or arranging a repair.

Thank you for your time and support.

Best regards,

Use the 'Contact Us' link at page bottom to report issues directly to the support team.

Most helpful is when you can provide a reproducible test case. The simpler it is the easier it will be to try to reproduce the problem. Include info about the model number and the configuration (cables, etc)

The sound output is noticeably weak in volume and sounds thin, regardless of the preset or settings used.

Does this occur on a particular preset? On ALL presets? Or only on a user voice you created?

Which preset are you using? Can you provide a step-by-step on how to try to reproduce the problem?

Feels like spam when we have a similarly worded rehash bearing the same "fingerprint" of the first post and using a different email address.  That said, I'll bite.

They would tell you to listen to the output using the headphones since this these two outputs are related.   Not that this necessarily helps do anything but isolate the problem as a further upstream problem or not.  Assuming there's a problem in any case and not caused by the wrong cables, wrong sound reinforcement, etc. then you'd be directed to service.

If you're in the USA then this would be the link to use to find a service center near you:

https://usa.yamaha.com/support/service_locator/

product category "Synthesizers"

or ...

https://www.yamaha.com/paragon/servicerlocator/

(and answer "Synthesizer" "Synthesizer" for the product type).

If not in the US, then search for your localized version of these links.

(UK/Ireland)

https://uk.yamaha.com/en/support/service_locator/index.html

... and so on.
