What Yamaha is doing here is so clever! The CP88 and YC88 stage keyboards have been on the market for a few years now. But you get constant improvements and sensible developments at regular intervals through extensive updates - for free. If you buy a CP88 today, you are getting a completely different and in many ways better product than you would have gotten if you had bought the same keyboard 5 years ago. The latest update OS V2.0 brings again massive improvements to the CP88 with its two new acoustic piano sounds and the new damper resonance value function. As a customer, I get all of this for free, and Yamaha, in turn, saves resources because no new hardware has to be developed and built. That kind of a concept is contemporary, logical and effective. This system will prove to be the right one and will prevail over competing systems. Yamaha really is listening to its customers. Here in the forum, suggestions and wishes are actually well heard and implemented. Personally, I am really pleased about the new option of being able to freely adjust the damper resonance values. That's exactly what I wanted to have. It makes the acoustic pianos more realistic and authentic now. The new CFX2 piano is a really great sample for playing solo piano. What can I say? Maybe just: Thank you YAMAHA - You're doing exactly right!!!
