The output signal at the headphone output of the CP73 is a bit low compared to the other stage pianos (Nord Stage, Korg SV).
By the way, I use headphones with an impedance of 120 ohms.
What is your experience?
Hi,
You’re not the only one…

I also got this experience with my Sennheiser Momentum, which has an impedance of 100Ω (passive). Bad Mister suggests to use a headphone with lower impedance (for instance 36Ω), but I’m not sure if that eliminates the problem. I run all my gear through a Mackie Mix8 now, so for me it isn’t that much of a dealbreaker. Would be nice if they would be able to “fix” this in an OS update, which - by the way - I hope is due for next week(???).
Thank you very much "luuc" for your quick answer and your advice.
However, this information is very disappointing and does not speak for the professionalism of Yamaha.
In the meantime I've tried the CP88 with 40 ohms headphones. The result was definitely a little better, but the sound quality has dropped a lot compared to my AKG 612 Pro headphones.
That's P i t y !
By the way, I don't think Yamaha can fix this headphone limitation with an OS update, I think it's a hardware problem.
