Have a cp1.
It's a very good electronic piano, with very good sounds, the main one, for me, the acoustic piano sonds, which are yamaha oianos.
After yamaha bought bösendorfer, they added a bösendorfer sound to some newer instruments.
But the high-end stage, professional electronic piano as the cp1, not.
Not all instruments can , because od design, be just "software/ sample updated". I know.
But other good brands, keep their high-end, loyal serious pro customers happy, by offering updates, some software, some even hardware updates if needed.
It should not be free of charge.
In the past, even good brands like kurzweil, offered, with a reasonable cost, a real hardwae new chip board to install in their cool stage pianos, adding new, better sounds.
I am sure it's possible for yamaha to "make it happen" by designing an update, soft/hardware, with a cost, to let us upgrade and have the bösendorfer sound in our cp1 and other cp pianos, keeping them as pro, high-end electronic piano as intended.
I know i would gladly, to say the least, pay a reasonable price for an upgrade like this.
