Hi,
I've scoured over all the MIDI related posts and cannot seem to find an answer -- hopefully someone here can help.
I have my CP4 hooked up to my computer via USB.
I also have a Korg nanoKONTROL2 hooked up to the same computer via USB.
I'm running MainStage on my computer.
I have all the faders on the Korg nanoKONTROL2 controlling my faders in MainStage and my CP4 keyboard playing the selected patches in MainStage.
The problem is, when I want to turn down the Volume of my CP4 Performance Part using the Part Slider, it seems to control a bunch of the MainStage faders as well, thus turning down the volume of my MainStage patches.
I'm not sure of the best solution for this problem...
Is there a way to disable the MIDI output from the Part Sliders of the CP4?
OR
I seem to recall reading the Part Sliders transmit on Channels 1 (MAIN), 2 (LAYER) and 3 (SPLIT).
Is there a way to change these channels so they aren't overlapping with channels used by the nanoKONTROL2 and MainStage?
Thanks in advance for any insight.
KJ
You will want to use the Master Keyboard function of the CP4 Stage. What you recount about Channels 1, 2 and 3 for MAIN, LAYER, and SPLIT is when you do not activate the Master Keyboard function. If you wish to decide what transmits Out (including the Sliders) you will want to setup and use the Master Keyboard function.
See Reference Manual starting on page 23 for details. You can turn the control slider off for going Out via MIDI, or set them for whichever external device you may need them.
If you get stuck, post back here.
