I have my CP4 hooked up to my laptop running MainStage and I am wondering if it is possible to program the FC7 foot controller to control the volume level of MainStage
without affecting the internal sounds of the CP4. In other words, I would like independent volume control for the CP and MainStage. Any advice would be appreciated.

Sorry, we can quickly answer your CP4 Stage questions.
You can use the FC7 pedal plugged into the CP4 Stage to send cc7 or cc11, to control the volume of internal Parts and/or external devices via MIDI. What channel do you wish to send it on, and which type of volume command do you wish to send? You also can assign a SLIDER to independently control an external device.
You use the CP4 Stage's MASTER KEYBOARD function to configure what you send Out via MIDI.
