Please let the designers know that the volume knob on the CP4 and CP40 isn't appropriate for stage use: it's impossible to see where the control is set, in typical stage lighting.
Fortunately, this is easily fixed with a small rectangle of white electrical tape.
The first time I used the CP4 live was at a local blues jam. Not only did I have trouble with it, but I noticed the other keyboard player (a real monster pro player) with his face down by the volume knob, squinting, trying to see where it was set.
Other than that, the CP4 was a delight to use live. I particularly like the thin UI panel strip, allowing me to get the top keyboard very close to the bottom one.

I agree! I just added Whiteout in the indicator depression on the knob and that took care of it.
By an amazing coincidence I had just stuck a piece of white tape on the volume knob this morning, before I saw this thread. This is my second Yamaha piano adorned with a piece of tape!
