Hello,
I think my old CP300 had a MIDI on/off button. This was handy because you could very easily turn the midi connection on and off without clicking through a submenu. Maybe you could assign a key combination on the CP88 with this function in one of the next OS updates?

or is there perhaps already a faster way to deactivate all midi commands on the CP88? It's not the best way if you have to navigate through a menu between two songs...
Maybe I missed something?
