Hi There,
I have been tweaking my stock organ sounds. Can you let me know how to route the output of the Rotary to the Amp Simulator? As discussed below? 😉
Thanks.
Peter.
"One key to making the "Guitar Amp Simulator" work for organ is route the output of the Rotary Speaker to the Amp Simulator (or I often use the "Comp+Distortion") and use the proper amount of crunchiness - this is very subjective but if you exceed 10% for the DRIVE (overdrive) you probably have way too much... You want just a bit of stress/strain on the sound... not a guitar player's dream/nightmare of killing all real tone... just a bit of crunch now and again."
That post was referencing the organ sounds I use when sequencing the Tower of Power sound alike files I created for the Motif XF and MOXF series. You can here an example Here
You can create similar sounds using the two Insertion Effect blocks in the CP4 Stage.
An Amp Simulator for a little distortion and the Rotary Speaker for the movement. The two effect blocks in the workstations allow you to select routing schemes A>B, B>A or even parallel. The Insert Blocks in the CP4 Stage are simply listed as two separate blocks.
To create the sound here, simply select the appropriate Effect Type for each block, and tweak to your taste. The routing in the CP4 Stage is fixed. So set amounts to taste.
