I'm Still trying to figure out the patch-logic behind the CP4.....

Why is that any patch that originally had some type of effect associated with it always dry sounding when assigned to the Split ??

For example: Assigning say a Clavi wha, Claviphase, Clavi MTWha, Clavi PWha to the Split is all dry sounding with no funky wha or phase effect..

This is because the INSERT EFFECTS can be active on any two Parts simultaneously. There are three Parts, the default is to be ON for the MAIN and LAYER Parts. If you wish you can deactivate it on the Layer and activate it on the Split Part.

Hmm, on page 10 of the manual, it appears that is not possible for the SPLIT on a CP4 to run thru an insertion effect 🙁 Or am I not reading the chart correctly?

It seems that only the CP40 allows the SPLIT to run thru the insertion effect.
