Michele,
Tell your friend the files requested are files for the DX200, not an AN200.
Which product are they interested in... ask them if they know what they want to do with the data.
The DX200 was an FM product that was compatible with the PLG150-DX expansion board that was available back in 2001
The AN200 was a virtual analog product that was compatible with the PLG150-AN expansion board that was available in 2001
What do the want to do with the data?
Mighty Bad Mister
You're right... I'm so used to AN Engines (AN1x, 1 PLG installed into a CS6R and 2 PLG150-AN installed into a Motif ES Rack) that I always write AN prefix.
As I stated in the first message, I'm looking for DX200 factory preset files. PlgDxP1.DX2, PlgDxP7.DX2
The friend I'm trying to help, has bought an AN200 off eBay without PLG150-DX inside. Then he separately bought the PLG150-DX... without any form of sys-ex files support.
At present he is not able to listen to the patterns in their complete form.
Hope it's more clear now.

Nope... sorry, itβs not ... they bought an AN200 ...without a PLG150-AN inside - they never came with PLG150-DX inside...
why did they buy a DX Board for the AN200? Tell them that will not work, period.
Or are YOU confusing them, yet again?
How/Why did they buy an AN200 or DX200 without the PLG150-AN or PLG150-DX, respectively, on board?

Sorry again... I confused the two units... I'm a dumbass :-/
As I stated before, the files I'm looking for are PlgDxP1.DX2, PlgDxP7.DX2 and they must be loaded into a DX200.
This time should make sense.
In a word, I'm looking for the factory files that accompained Yamaha DX200.
We've got several people looking for those files. In the meantime you can restore the Factory Set of Performances and Patterns as follows:
1 Turn the power off.
2 Simultaneously hold down the [SHOW VALUE], [PATTERN] and [EXIT] buttons, and turn on the power again.

THANKS A LOT BM!
I've just sent him a screenshot. I'll let you know if this solution works π
It seems that only the PCM part has been restored, whils the FM part remains muted.
Make sure the PLG Board that was installed is a PLG150-DX and not the PLG100-DX.
The difference would be the ability to load the FM data to RAM.
Sorry for the delayed response....
According to the owner who did countless attempts, the DX200 may have been damaged under customs X-rays.
And it was already sent to be serviced.
PLG150-AN, tested on another apparel, works like a charm.
