Hi, I have a question regarding the mLAN8E and exb-mLAN. My question is are they the same and will a mLAN8E work installed on a korg triton studio? Having seen pictures of both they look the same. If there was a difference I would assume it would be with wiring or internal stuff. I'm guessing they are different in some way but if they were not I would expand my search to include the mLAN8E as well as the exb-mLAN (both near impossible to find). I've put together a vintage mLAN production studio that includes the 01X and the KSP8 with the mLAN card installed and this is the last piece of the puzzle. Ive looked everywhere for the exb-mLAN and have had no luck. It's crazy how hard these things are to find. Any help regarding my question or suggestions as to where I could get the exb for my triton would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance, Tommy

No, they are not the same, and no the Yamaha unit will not work in the Korg. Hope that helps. Contact Korg, I don't know if they even ever delivered an exb-mLAN to market. I had to google it to find out what it was.

Thank you sir for your response and time. It is my understanding based on extensive research of the topic that korg did release the exb-mlan for the triton rack and studio. The reason I asked if they are the same is as you can see in the pictures they appear to be near identical. Also based on what I have read and the info printed on them it appears they are both s200 mLAN A. I would be curious to know what the difference is between the two? I'm sure there is one but I can't help but wonder if the korg one is just a mlan8e with a korg stamp and different packaging. I'm not doubting your conclusion, I'd just like to know if possible.
