In pattern mode, for my drum track, I loaded SF1 - SF5 with several ARP drum kit variations that I want to cue at various points within a single pattern section. I can use RecArp, start the Seq, push my SF1-5 where desired and all note variations are recorded. DONE? At that point, I am no longer using the ARP and would be free to chose and assign another ARP to a different voice...Correct?

Pretty much... you left out the Step where you set the LENGTH of the Phrase you are going to record prior to recording a Section, but that's pretty much a solid workflow.
