Hello,

I have a little question.

I am very happy with my Motif XS8 but I would like to start a little MAO.
I connected my Yamaha in firewire on my computer (Windows 10 64 bits).
I really like the sounds of the Yamaha, but I would also like to try other VST instruments like Native VSTs (Komplete 11). Do I have to buy a Native keyboard?
I'd like to use my Yamaha Motif and create songs with VSTs as Komplete (for example) or Keyscape. It's possible withe the yamaha ? Someone has already tested ?

Thank you,
Best regards

No, not necessarily. The Motif XS is much more Controller than some dedicated controllers. The XS features eight Zone of Control via MIDI.

The XS came out in 2007, without exaggeration, hundreds and hundreds of players have used and are using the XS as a controller in a computer studio situation. The Motif XS has its own “Motif XS VST Editor” allowing you to use your hardware XS with the same flexibility and processing available to software VST plug-ins.

You’re going back over a decade but you can still get a FW system running under Windows 10.
Do you have a working FireWire card for your Windows computer?

Thank you very much for your answer !

I bought a firewire card on Amazon for my PC because I did not have this hardware.

I have not tested yet I hope there will be no problem..
