Hi there,

I'm putting together some arrangements for my sons elementary schools' "rock" band. Included in the lineup are players on a Yamaha PRS275 and a Yamaha Portable Grand DGX-202. While I'll be recording the arrangments in my studio with other patches, but it would be nice to know what the patches on each keyboard actually sound like.

So, I was hoping someone might be able to point me somewhere online where it was possible to preview the different voices from one or both of these keyboards (maybe its essentially the same GM bank in both?). Obviously they are equipped with standard GM voices, but having a little bit more insight into the actual patches may inspire something a bit different in terms of how I make the arrangements, and would certainly streamline things if I could tell them exactly what patch to dial up per part/song. (What would be really interesting is if anyone out there actually nerded out enough to make a sampler library for Kontakt or something with the yamaha voices).

Any help appreciated. Thanks so much!

Best
DJ

Sorry, I missed your post... You've logged onto a site that is in support of Yamaha Synthesizers... unfortunately, the PSR and DGX series of keyboards comes from an entirely different Division in the company. And both are more than a decade old - They both use a a variation on the GM sound set.
