I have updatet firmware on a used Motif XS8 to latest firmware. Still the FW Mode does not show. Just the mLAN. I had another XS8 some year ago, and this showes
The FW as a Choice. Why does this not show on my "New" used XS8? Anyone ?

Motif XS is a "Legacy Yamaha Synth".
Without knowing what firmware version number you have we can't be sure what to tell you. It is easy enough to check and easier to include in your post. We have to start there.
Hold [F1] + [Up Cursor] + [UTILITY]
Latest is 1.60.x
