Hello everyone, I'm recently having an issue with my Yamaha S30. The E key in second octave doesn't seem to respond to velocity, it only plays with the maximum level. I tried and cleaned the instrument inside, including the rubber contact stripe, but it didn't help. The contact strip is fine, I'm sure. Weird thing is that if I press a key next to it, i.e. D or F, then it works properly. But as soon as I release the key next to it, it again plays with maximum velocity. Anyone has any idea what could be wrong?
You should contact Yamaha Customer Service or an authorized Service Center. If you need help in finding this information, it is usually included in the back of your Owner's Manual. Or the closest repair center can be found from the main Yamaha website.
Thanks for the reply, luckily I was able to fox this issue with a soldering gun, there was a tiny gap on the circuit board near the connection field responsible for the low velocity.
