I have an S90 (not ES or XS). I've normally done midi from the midi ports but I need to now use the the USB connection. The problem I'm having is that I can't get my computer to recognize the S90. The midi driver installed is version 3.1.3 for Windows. My Motif XS7 works fine. For the Motif the driver shows up in the control panel when the Motif is connected and the ports are available in my DAW (Sonar). But for the S90 the driver does not get loaded and there are no ports available in the DAW.

It seems as though the USB port on the S90 is dead, but, I have no way of determining that. Is there a way that I can check if the port is working on the S90?

Ira.

Make sure your S90 is set to MIDI In/Out = USB
Press [UTILITY]
Press [F5] > [SF4] > set MIDI I/O = USB
Press [STORE]

Hi. Thanks for the response. I have insured that MIDI IN/OUT is set to USB and did it again to be certain. Still the USB driver does not get loaded. As stated before. It does get loaded when the Motif is on. Any other suggestions?

Make sure you are connected directly to the computer (no hub)...
Also we need to verify what operating system you are running on your Windows computer and are you running 32-bit or 64-bit

there is a USB MIDI Driver version 3.1.4 for Windows® 7 SP1 (64-bit) / Windows® 8 (64-bit) / Windows® 8.1 (64-bit) / Windows® 10 (64-bit)
