Using an old S90 as a midi controller

I have an old Yamaha S90 from approximately 2002-2003. (The manual says it was printed in 2002.). Can I use it purely as a midi controller? I'd like to be able to use the keyboard to play the various other virtual instruments that are available to me. And is there anyway to get the drivers for this synth that would work for my computer? I have a 2015 MacBook Pro running OS High Sierra and I'm using Pro Tools 2018.1 with a Focusrite Clarett 4pre thunderbolt interface. Thanks.

S90 drivers for High Sierra? It is like looking for a needle in a haystack. Use a simple M-Audio MIDI Interface and connect your S90 through it.

Thanks for the reply. I have 2 old M-Audio interfaces (the M-audio firewire 410 and a little M-audio fast track usb interface) but I don't have drivers for either one for my new computer and I am told that they don't have drivers anymore for these old units. This is probably a silly question, but is there anyway to use an old interface with no driver in the way you suggested? Thanks.
