I have a Yamaha S90ES and want to use it as a midi controller for a Mac with the Yosemite operating system . I saw the question and answer about the driver needed, and I have downloaded the USB Midi Driver V1.3.2 and the instructions. The instructions say to use a "standard USB cable". My question is which standard cable do I use? I know that I need Type A Male to Type B Male, but am not sure which version to use. I assumed that since my computer has USB 3.0 Type A connectors, and the cables are downward compatible, that I should get the USB 3.0 cable. But now I am told that the Type B plug on 3.0 cables is larger then the older versions. I just want to verify that what I need is a USB 2.0 Type A Male to Type B Male cable.
