That's subjective.

For the strings ... One could consider his control over dynamics is pretty good as you can hear by the different velocity layers you can hear when he "digs in" vs. not. And the MODX sounds like natural acoustic strings when doing this - so that could be considering amazing.

For myself, I find I often do not connect with what all of the artists chose as content (genre, style, etc).

For the leads ... the "whistle" sound reminded me of some of the Geddy Lee Rush keyboard work in older albums. I thought the "analog" sound using samples sounded good. I only thought the portamento time could have been faster - but still, sounded good. That can subjectively be placed in this category.

The dirty lead at the end I didn't connect with as much. It shows off superknob modulation of the filter. The filter modulation sounds natural - so that's something.

I think live on stage all of this Super Knob twirling (judging by the interruption to his playing the keyboard keys with 2 hands) would be better served using an expression pedal (foot) to control the Super Knob. I think use of the Knob itself was contrived so you could see the Super Knob being twisted without having to do a "picture in picture" of the foot and some extra explanation about the expression pedal controlling Super Knob.

Now folks have a reason to click on the link.

Just using the word "amazing" sounds like another canned Apple keynote address, and is meaningless in this age of hyperbole and adjectival excesses.
