Here's my situation...let me tell you what I want to do, & y'all can tell me if it's possible....
I have a Korg Kronos that I have recorded about 150 midi songs on. Can I play these on the MODX7 via a flash drive.. or should I convert them to Audio files & then plug in flash drive?
I'm assuming that the MODX7 won't play the files ( they're in WAV format) as midi songs; but how bout as Audio files?
This way I'd be able to play with my songs on the MODX7, a much lighter keyboard than the kronos, & thus save my back.
Thanks for responses in advance!

If you load your MIDI Songs to MODX as .MID data, you will need to reselect sounds for each PART... (150 Songs... could be a hobby!)
If you convert them to Audio files (in .wav/aiff format) you can plug that flash drive into your MODX and playback the data directly from the MODX's Play/Rec function.
From the HOME screen:
Touch "Play/Rec" > AUDIO
The MODX can playback audio files that are 44.1kHz 16 or 24-bit stereo... and can play/record continuously for 74 minutes.
Thank you, Bad Mister.
Your post confirms what I thought, regarding midi vs audio files.
Will try converting a couple of midi songs to Audio files & plug in flash drive to MODX7.
I'll let you know how I make out..
BM - I must be doing something wrong. When I push play/record >audio, it gives me a window that says
"NewAudioRec" .. When I touch that, the "load" box lights up on the left.
When I touch that, it takes me to my WAV file. When I touch that, I get a msg that simply says "illegal file".
With a "close" box on bottom. No choice but to close.
Any idea what's going wrong?

What are the attributes of the file you are attempting to play? If it is not the above you will get an “illegal file” error message.
The file I'm attempting to play from Kronos is 48 kHz.
I thought I saw a video on YouTube that said MODX7 would play both 48 & 44.1 kHz 16 or 24 bit WAV files.
Maybe that was Montage?
BM - success! Converted audio file to 44.1 & it played nicely!
Thanks for your help.
